Ronnie Skinner, the visionary behind Just Because Mentoring Services {JBMS}, established the organization in 2001 with a profound dedication to empowering youth. His journey began in the vibrant city of Chicago, where he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by young people in underserved communities. 

Driven by a deep sense of compassion and a desire to make a difference, Ronnie started his journey by working directly with youth as a family educator, childcare worker, and supervisor. Through these experiences, he gained invaluable insights into the struggles and aspirations of the young people he served. 

It was during this time Ronnie recognized the urgent need for positive role models and support systems for youth who often lack access to such resources. Inspired by his experiences and fueled by a passion for social justice, Ronnie embarked on a mission to create a space where young people could thrive and realize their full potential. 

With humble beginnings in the bustling streets of Chicago, Ronnie laid the foundation for JBMS, driven by a belief in the transformative power of mentorship and guidance. Despite facing numerous challenges along the way, limited resources, and bureaucratic hurdles, Ronnie remained steadfast in his commitment to serving the community.
